When creating sticker artwork in Procreate, it is best to set up the canvas at the correct print size before you start drawing. This helps make sure the artwork has enough detail for the final sticker size.

Start with the final sticker size

Create your Procreate canvas at the size you want the sticker to print, or larger if you are still deciding. Use at least 300 DPI for print artwork.

  • Open Procreate and tap the + button in the Gallery.
  • Create a custom canvas using the width and height you want the sticker to print.
  • Set the DPI to at least 300.
  • If you are unsure of the final size, work larger rather than smaller.

Check canvas size after creating artwork

To review your canvas settings, open the Actions menu, tap Canvas, then choose Crop and Resize. From there, open Settings to check the size and DPI.

Changing the DPI number after the artwork is finished does not add missing detail if the canvas is too small. For sharp print results, the artwork needs enough pixels for the size you want to print.

Exporting your file

When your design is ready, tap the Actions button, then Share. Export as a high quality PNG, JPEG, PSD, or PDF depending on your artwork.

  • Use PNG if you need a transparent background.
  • Use JPEG for full-background artwork, exported at the highest quality available.
  • Use PSD if layers may need to be checked or adjusted.

Before uploading

  • The canvas is large enough for the sticker size you want.
  • The artwork is at least 300 DPI at final print size.
  • Text and fine details are readable at the intended size.
  • Important details are not too close to the cut edge.

Once your file is ready, upload it with your order. We will send a digital proof before production so you can check the final layout.
